Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnered with a market leading business in Wrexham to recruit a Management Accountant. You will lead a small and capable accounts team responsible for delivering all core financial processes across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the upkeep of purchase, sales, and nominal ledgers.
  • Lead the month-end close cycle, including preparation of journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and necessary adjustments
  • Deliver monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts, with clear analysis and insights.
  • Develop, track, and report on budgets and forecasts to aid strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring accurate forecasting and sufficient liquidity for operational requirements.
  • Manage payroll and pension processes, maintaining compliance with HMRC and relevant legislation
  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, as well as profit and loss and balance sheet reports.
  • Administer online banking, including the preparation and authorization of payments
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
  • Provide weekly financial metrics and commentary to enhance leadership visibility and performance monitoring.
  • Perform financial analysis and contribute to ad hoc projects supporting broader strategic goals.
  • Prepare and submit statutory filings, including VAT and corporation tax returns.
  • Submit annual accounts and statutory documents to Companies House.
  • Oversee insurance renewals and utility agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.


Skills Required:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 3 years Management Accountant experience.
  • Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
  • Detail-orientated and highly organised, with an ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communicator, able to collaborate across departments and with external partners
  • Calm under pressure and capable of delivering to tight deadlines
  • Commercially aware, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Confident working with data and financial systems
